Flatbed Bus?

If you see on the news that a Cache County school bus has gone missing, I think I know where it is.

Then again, maybe this isn’t a black market bus. Maybe a loyal and beloved driver of 36 years finally retired and they gave him his bus as a parting gift.

But what to do with a school bus that doesn’t tote tots to and from school?

It would be a shame to waste a perfectly good school bus, so why not rip out the seats and hack off the top and haul hay with it!

I told my kids he should leave the hay bales on it and let kids pile on top and ride to school like that every day. They could sit on the back and sing folk songs all the way to school. Festive!

“And super corny, Mom,” my teenager piped in. But she did think the bus was pretty funny.

I especially like how he used the sawed off back of the bus to cap off the cab. The whole thing is very resourceful.

Have you seen the episode of The Red Green Show where Red makes an RV out of old appliance doors and duck tape? Something about this bus made me think of that.
