It was Homecoming night – lights, football game, marching band, fireworks, cheerleaders, kids with spiked hair, painted faces and bellies, orange and blue leggins, tutus, tattoos and any other obnoxious form of school spirit you could imagine was present at the Mountain Crest game last night.
And yet, even with all the visual stimuli I couldn’t keep my eyes off the display sitting in front of me. It was crackin’ me up, excuse the pun, because it was so Cache Valley, so Utah, so us. I suppose we’ve been taught not to be afraid to show our faith.
If you know why this is funny . . .
You might be a Mormon.
