On a Roll 1

I’m pretty sure this is what heaven will look like – rows and rows of rolls and rolls of all-you-can-eat gourmet sushi.

Except in heaven it will be free and we won’t gain weight.

We stopped in St. George for lunch yesterday on our way to Las Vegas for a quick Spring Break family fling and a friend gave me a tip about this place.

It’s called “Ichiban Sushi & Seafood Buffet” and it is yumm-o!

Usually the word “buffet” is synonymous with words like “chuck” and “corral” which, when used in correlation with food, is not a good sign.

But in this case buffet means “freely stuff yourself with the nectar of the gods of Asia.”

It’s sooooo great because you can try pieces from lots of different rolls without having to commit to a whole roll of one kind. Then after you’ve tried them all, several times even, you can narrow down to your favorites and eat as much of those as you want. Plus there are other delectable Asian dishes to try too and a dessert bar to boot!

The best part is, when we got our bill, we were excited to discover we wouldn’t have to sell one of our children into the orient as a slave to pay for it.

So if you’re itchin’ for some affordable Asian edibles, meet me at Ichiban in St. George on Friday because that’s where I’ll be on my way back home!

Sushi is not my idea of heaven, but I like the buffet idea–with no weight gain or financial loss. Chocolate is, was & will be (one of) my celestial glories!! CjR
