It’s a Pumpkin Eat Pumpkin World

I’m walkin’ on pumpkins, woh-oh!
I’m walkin’ on pumpkins, woh-oh!
I’m walkin’ on pumpkins, woh-oh!
And don’t it feel good?

Oh yea, it feels good!

My community’s annual “Pumpkin Walk” is one of my favorite parts of fall and makes me feel all Halloweenie.

I know it’s a contradiction to celebrate the first snow with Christmas music and get all giddy about Halloween at a pumpkin festival all in the same week, but I’m a complex woman.

The fact that my favorite jack-o-lantern there was a cannibal is further proof of that.

The first scene we saw was killer.

Ra da da da da da da da circus,
Da da da da da da da da afro,
Circus afro, circus pumpkin, Circus afro, circus pumpkin!

And they just kept getting better and better: Nacho Pumpkin Libré, Hunger Pumpkin Games, Charlie and the Pumpkin Factory, The Pumpkin Bachelor, and Pumptropica, to highlight a few.

Oh, and my personal favorite, Barack Obutternut. I like that he was “canned.” It seemed fitting.
