Turkey Town

Out here in my neck of the woods we have some seasonal residents who like to winter in our cozy little community.

They make themselves quite at home in our yards, gardens, barns, garages, treehouses, and so forth.

And, they are constant jaywalkers in no hurry to cross the road to get to the other side to join the chickens.

At least the “sunbirds” who migrate up from Arizona for the summer to get out of the heat and bask in our lovely mild Cache Valley weather help the economy with their presence by patronizing local businesses and arts programs while they’re here.

These foul-weathered feathered fowl friends do nothing but scavenge and poop.
